Supermarketing for Seniors

Supermarketing for Seniors provides grocery shopping for Greenwich seniors who are unable to get to the store on their own. Volunteers do not spend their own funds on groceries.

Resettlement Program

JFS of Greenwich is a refugee resettlement agency operating under the auspices of HIAS. Funded by federal, state, and foundation grants, JFS of Greenwich leads a team made up of community agencies, religious institutions, civic groups, and individual volunteers to provide a wide range of services.  We are currently serving families from Afghanistan and Ukraine.

Bikur Cholim

The Bikur Cholim Program operates onsite at Greenwich Hospital, and at all six Greenwich facilities that serve the elderly and infirm. Translated, visiting the sick, the Bikur Cholim program reaches out to and engages the frail elderly, the infirm and the disabled; our volunteers and staff visit with and care for Alzheimer’s patients, participants in adult day care, residents of assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and hospital patients.

If you or someone you know would like to volunteer please email Larry Stoogenke for further information.

Are you looking for ways to help JFS?

JFS can always use an extra pair of helping hands! We often need volunteers to do simple administrative tasks such as filing, database entry and mailings, or to help out with a special event. Whether you have a couple hours each week or a free afternoon or evening, we welcome your help!
