We have a number of senior services including Supermarketing for Seniors, our Visiting Seniors Program and JFS at Senior Facilities.
Senior Services
JFS offers free grocery shopping for Greenwich residents, aged 60 and up. Since 1986, we have been providing this unique, non-denominational grocery shopping service with care and compassion for home-bound seniors. If you or a family member are in need of this service, please contact us and we will connect you with a well-trained and thoughtful volunteer who can assist you.
Do you have an hour to visit a senior? You will brighten their day!
JFS is looking for volunteers for our Visiting Seniors program, called Bikur Cholim/Friendly Visiting. Volunteers visit seniors in a variety of settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and private homes. Our local senior residents are thrilled to receive a visit from a caring community member with a smiling face! Please contact JFS to learn more about how you can become a volunteer.

Our visiting program always brings a smile to a senior resident’s face!
JFS cooperates with local synagogues and Jewish schools to arrange for Jewish holiday programs at area hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. Working in tandem with our local Greenwich clergy, JFS provides engaging and interactive programs to Greenwich Adult Day Care, Greenwich Hospital, Greenwich Woods Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, The Greens at Greenwich, The Merry-Go-Round Mews, Nathaniel Witherell Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, and Connecticut Health.
