JFS of Greenwich is a refugee resettlement agency operating under the auspices of HIAS. Funded by federal, state, and foundation grants, JFS of Greenwich leads a team made up of community agencies, religious institutions, civic groups, and individual volunteers to provide a wide range of services.
Support is provided through four programs to assist those immigrating to the United States:
- Afghan Placement and Assistance
- United for Ukraine
- Resettlement and Placement
- Legal Immigration Program
We are currently serving families from Afghanistan, Ukraine, Haiti, Syria, Guatemala, and Ecuador. Help is given to apply for medical and social services, public assistance, housing, employment resources, school registration, and ESL. The goal is to help put recent arrivals on a path to self sufficiency and success.
