This talk will explore how adult children can support their parents through the aging process. Topics for discussion include recognizing when help is needed, discussing concerns with parents, exploring interventions, and managing emotions. Practical communication, boundary-setting, and self-care strategies will be discussed and resources for additional support will be provided.
Jaime Goldberg, MSW, LCSW is pursuing her PhD in Social Welfare with a focus in aging and palliative care at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Jaime has been invited to speak and teach locally, nationally, and internationally about aging, palliative care, and hospice topics, and has co-authored several articles and book chapters.
