History

jfs greenwichJewish Family Services of Greenwich was founded in 1983 to meet the social and community service needs of a growing Jewish population in Greenwich, Connecticut.  Embracing core Jewish values, this hands-on agency provides assistance and support to many in the community. JFS provides services to senior citizens, individuals, teens, and families facing personal challenges or simply looking for ways to get involved in the community or participate in social activities. Mission

JFS Mission

Since 1983, the mission of Jewish Family Services of Greenwich has been to improve the lives of families and individuals of all ages in the community of Greenwich, Connecticut and beyond, while embracing Jewish wisdom, tradition, and compassion. We are a non-profit, non-discriminatory, social service agency which provides quality, affordable social services.

What We Do

  • Provide counseling for individuals, families, and lead support groups.
  • Serve special needs for older adults.
  • Provide opportunities to get involved in community service.
  • Facilitate volunteer programs to help those in need.
  • Advocate for Jewish immigrants.
  • Strengthen Jewish identity.

We place the highest value upon treating people with dignity and respect and are guided by the Jewish tradition of helping people to help themselves.
